The 2023 Cape Gate Vaal Marathon is taking place on Sunday 5th March 2022.
It will be the 48th running of this ever growing and well organised event and will again start and finish at the Dick Fourie Stadium, Klipriver Drive, Three Rivers, Vereeniging. This is a 5 race event, a 42.2km Marathon, a 30km Road Race a 21.1km Half Marathon, a 10km Road Race & a 5km Fun Run. eal Route For A PB - Fast & Flat!
An Ideal Event That Offers The Elite, Active & Recreational Runner and Walker A Unique Race Format! 42.2 km Marathon A highlight on the road running calendar! This two-lapper gently meanders through four suburbs of Vereeniging and has a section along the banks of the Vaal River. While it is fair to say that the route is flat, it is by no means the easiest marathon; you will have to work the whole way. This race also serves as a qualifier for the Comrades Marathon and Two Oceans Marathon. 21.1 km Half Marathon Fast, flat, single lap of the marathon route. |
