VAAL MARATHON RESULTS - 2019

Timing keeping and results for 10km, 21.1km & 42.2km races will be handled by Peak Timing / ChamionChip Africa and therefore you are required to own a ChampionChip to participate in the event.
No chip. No result. No prize. All runners are required to wear a ChampionChip timing device on their shoes for the duration of the race. This year's race will be timed MAT to MAT (start line to finish line). There will be a 10 min start window for the 42.2km & 21.1km runners. Additional timing mats will be placed on the course to verify times. Participants must cross ALL mats (start line, on route & finish line) to record official times, failure to do so could result in no official record or disqualification. Each registered participant will receive a confirmation SMS on completion of the race with your official finishing time. The full set of official results will be posted online on Monday, 6th March 2017. Results will be posted on www.championchip.co.za. To ensure that you are accurately recorded in the Race Results it is important that you are in possession of your ChampionChip that is correctly registered in your name. If you do not currently have a ChampionChip or want to verify that it is correctly registered, this can be done at www.championchip.co.za or by purchasing (R 150.00) or hiring (R 50.00) a chip with your online pre-entry. Your ChampionChip code must be entered on your registration form. No corrections or manual updates will be done due to incorrect use of the ChampionChip or not abiding by the race rules. Wearing another athlete's ChampionChip will lead to disqualification. PLEASE NOTE: No timing or results for the 5km race are recorded. |
